Mitsubishi Airtrek is a pure electric compact crossover SUV produced by GAC Mitsubishi, a joint venture between Guangzhou Automobile Company and Mitsubishi Motors. Measuring 4600mm long, 1910mm wide, and 1690mm tall, the Airtrek focuses on rear space thanks to its generous 2830mm wheelbase – its dedicated EV platform and completely flat floor also help in that department.
At the rear, L-shaped taillights and a prominent “EV” badge – similar to the Outlander PHEV – also help the Airtrek stand out as a Mitsubishi product.
The Airtrek’s interior features a freestanding infotainment display, an available digital instrument cluster that provides augmented reality for the built-in navigation system, and a floating center console that showcases a rotating gear shifter and a host of large storage bins.
Airtrek is equipped with a 70kWh battery pack, with a range of up to 520 kilometers under the China Light Vehicle Test Cycle (CLTC) test standard. It is equipped with a dedicated electric base to install the battery on the floor to achieve “ideal front and rear weight distribution” and more Low center of gravity. Maximum power is 135kW (181hp).
