BYD Destroyer 05 is a compact sedan produced by Chinese automaker BYD Auto. As the first plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) in BYD’s new plug-in electric vehicle “Ocean Series”, the Destroyer 05 is equipped with DM-i hybrid technology. In Uzbekistan, the model is sold as BYD Chazor.
The Destroyer 05 sports a streamlined coupe shape with large vertical air intakes at both ends. The dimensions of the destroyer are 4780/1837/1495 mm and the wheelbase is 2718 mm.
Inside, the main focus is the 15.6-inch touchscreen, which is combined with an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster. There are several buttons on the center tunnel, including a cylindrical knob for the automatic transmission, a drive mode selector, a start-stop button, and a set of cup holders. We can also see ambient lighting on the dashboard, red accents on the climate vents, and white upholstered seats with integrated headrests.
BYD Destroyer 05 is equipped with a BYD DM-i hybrid EHS system. Both models are equipped with a 1.5-liter gasoline engine with a maximum output of 82kW (110hp) and are equipped with one or two electric motors, with a total output of 134kW (180hp). and 146kW (197hp). The smallest battery offers 55 kilometers of pure electric range, while the larger battery can travel 120 kilometers on battery power alone.
BYD Destroyer 05 has an ultra-low fuel consumption of 3.8 liters per 100 kilometers and a combined cruising range of more than 1,200 kilometers with a full tank of fuel and a full battery charge. 0-100km/h (0-62mph) acceleration time is 7.3 seconds. The 120km model is also equipped with a 17kW DC fast charging interface and VTOL mobile power station function.
